Reasons not to fear Canada.
In the last decade, we have prosecuted government members who used tax payers money unethically and for leisure purpose.
We have held accountable institutions who contributed to the HIV and Hepatitis blood scandals.
We have the most natural ressources of all countries.
We have a military mostly used for humanitarian purpose.
Quebec is not entirely French, has a population that is not renewing itself, is more poor then the rest of the country but is yet stable and it’s concerns are pertubated politically which was a mouvement established back in the Trudeau and Levesque days.
Our National sport has won 5 gold medals in a row at the Junior level and has proven to have a stable market in the last decade.
We have a population of approximately 40 million and are continuously the center of topic for coming and future olympics which tries to host the event in stable countries. Especially since Munich.
We continuously maintain a country with immigrants coming in every year. The assetts of such country is being able to remain stable but yet provide views of hope for others.
ABM credit theft is not hi enough to destabelize teh country unlike others.
We live in a hi-tech society which allows us to be impersonal when we wish to do so.
We live in a country that is changing rapidly, but not rapid enough so that we forget our national memories or create too much social stress. Never the less traditions do expire with time. Languages might disappear but do to an evolutianry process, not war.
Our arts is in fact quite distinguishable. I forget the year but I recall Quebec producing more and selling out more than the entire United States in the cinema industry. Keep Hollywood in mind.
The common person knows more past american presidents than the amount of Canadian Prime minister. I personally don’t mind that… less politisized nation.
I can go fishing and have the whole lake to myself until americans who have spent $10 000 to get here show up.
We suck in research and innovation but I guess that’s o.k.
And oh yes, I’d rather smoke a joint once in a while and not develop any addictions then drink myself stupid, puke from alcohol poisoning, see my ass get larger, feel shitty for the next three days and screw some chick I would soberly never do if I had smoked a joint.
